Head Chef – Tuscany Pizza, Bowen Island, BC
Full-time | Salary $55,000 – $70,000 (based on experience) + staff perks

Tuscany Pizza is a well-loved, high-volume, seasonal restaurant on beautiful Bowen Island. We’re known for wood-fired pizza, fresh seasonal dishes, and a warm, professional team culture. Our kitchen is fast-paced but supportive, with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and creativity.

The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead our back-of-house team. You’ll be responsible for menu execution, kitchen leadership, ordering & inventory, food cost control, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and inspire BOH staff, fostering a positive and professional kitchen culture

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and service flow

• Create and execute seasonal menus in collaboration with the owner

• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards

• Manage ordering, inventory, and cost controls

• Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations

• Collaborate closely with FOH management to ensure smooth service

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years’ experience in a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef role (high-volume experience preferred)

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Creativity with a respect for seasonal and local ingredients

• Ability to thrive under pressure and lead a team in a busy environment

• Knowledge of cost control, ordering systems, and kitchen administration

• Red Seal certification or equivalent an asset

Compensation & Perks

• Salary: $55,000 – $70,000 (based on experience)
